Free Image Resizer and Converter

What Image Resizer does

The BDK Image Resizer changes the size, format and quality of photos in your browser. Set the size in pixels, in centimetres for a print resolution, or as a percentage of the original.

You can add several images, resize them in one go and download each result. Nothing is uploaded: the pictures are processed on your device.

Features

• Resize by pixels, by centimetres at 72, 150, 300 or 600 dpi, or by percent
• Keep proportions or set an exact size
• Save as JPEG, PNG or WebP with a quality slider
• Several images at once, with before and after sizes
• Clear messages for unreadable files or sizes that are too large

How to use Image Resizer

1. Drop one or more images.
2. Choose how to set the size and enter it.
3. Pick the format and quality.
4. Press Resize, check the new size and file size, then download.

Frequently asked questions

Does the image keep its dpi when I choose centimetres?

The tool works out the right pixel size for the dpi you choose, so it prints at that size. Browsers do not write the dpi value into the file, so set the print size again in your printing program if it asks.

Will compressing reduce quality?

JPEG and WebP use lossy compression. A quality of 80 to 90 looks almost identical for most photos. PNG is lossless.

What is the largest image I can resize?

Up to 40 MB per file and 12,000 pixels per side, which a typical browser can handle safely.

Are my pictures uploaded?

No. They are processed in your browser and never sent to BusyDayKit.
